The WT4080 is a multi-rate, low-power vocoder chip independently developed by Nanjing Indigo Microelectronics. The WT4080 connects to an external Codec chip, which transmits PCM data via the McBSP interface, while the encoded data is transmitted through the UART interface. The entire process is asynchronous and full-duplex.
